LEAP lounge

Competition proposal

FSC Design Award 2010

Sept. - Okt. 2010

LEAP lounge was my competition proposal for this years FSC Design Award.

The chair is a lounge chair, with a laidback function but yet dynamic and forwardgoing form.

I have worked with how to create contrast and at the same time interaction between two sorts of wood. In this model I have worked with oak and ash.

It has also been an important factor to work with details and meatingpoints when assembling the final pieces.

The chair is to be assembled when arriving to the shop for better and spacesaving transport from workshop to distributor. Therefore I have tried to inhance the "collect-yourself" look, by adding the legs on the side of the chair, instead of integrating them in the seating.

It is possible to add a cushion to the chair - I would recommend it to be made in textiles from Kvadrat.
